Winter tire sidewall height
Assuming I am putting winter tires on my stock wheels which are 19x9.5 285/35r19 and 19x9 255/40r19, would you use a 40 height sidewall tire? What about 45 (I know that is 2.5inches over stock size) but would it fit? These are what I am thinking:
staggered set 285/45r19 255/50r19 vs 285/40r19 255/45r19 vs 295/40r19 265/45r19
I am looking to fit tires with the biggest sidewall possible as the potholes around here get extremely bad in the winter as I found out very unfortunately the hard way.
I know that I can buy a different set of wheels for the winter (17's or 18's) but I am not asking that question right now. Just curious to know if anyone runs 40-45 rear tire sidewall height on 19's...
