Rims

What size rims do I get for a 2007 GT? P235 55Zr17. If that helps at all.

So you have the tires, but not the rims?

If you wanna reuse your tires then yes. Otherwise you don't HAVE to get 17s

235 is a stretch on a 9" rim but they will go on as long as they run true to size. 255 is the correct width to be flush and if you run a Nitto its 275 because Nittos run narrow as hell.

For a 235/55/17 you get a 17x8 rim.

I only have 235s on my 9" wide rims because BFGs run big and they are still a little narrow but its not bad. Also it was the only size that had the diameter I wanted unless I went to a 265 and with the car lowered I did not want to run into rubbing issues.

I can't imagine a 225 on a 9" rim. My 235s are just a smidge thin for 9" rims, I probably should have got 245s but I didn't want another half inch of potential clearance issues on an already slightly oversized tire. And BFGs run big too so a Sumi or whatever would be crazy.

235s generally fit on wheels that are 7"-8.5" wide, so I would say 17x8" or 17x8.5" wheels are your best bet.
