Dipped Wheels

My project for the day. I love the outcome, though admittedly this is my first time working with dip, and it could have come out much better. Now I'm just trying to decide if I should dip my fuel door.

In the end it's up to you, but I wouldn't dip the fuel door. Just keep it clean and simple it looks better that way imo. Wheels look good though!

Thanks guys. The only reason I had the idea to do the fuel door is because I like the look of the black fuels doors but don't want to spend the $150 - $200 it would cost to buy one, but I agree I don't want to make too many appearance mods to the risk of looking tacky.

Looks good. I have the same exact car and will be doing the dip soon as well. Going to get a set of take-off GT wheels tonight if all goes well.

I have the same color and the same wheels. Going with black rims makes a big appearance change. Thanks for posting the pics. I've been considering doing the same thing.

Probably a dumb question but i've never used dip so how do you clean the wheels without rubbing it off and how long does it last for?

You can wash it but you have to be gentle. The longer Plasti dip is on though, the harder it is to take off.

also i would like the rim with index cards so you dont get over spray, yes you can peel it off the tire but thats just agrivating, and put atleast 4 coats on. if you go to dipyourcar.com you can get alot of questions answered or you can ask me i have used it for a long time and have dipped whole cars and many other things.

I like the look but not the dull look. To me dull wheels on a shiny car just don't look right. I would use the plasti dip clear to make them really pop.
