Best Tire Shiner?

What's the best Tire Shine out there? Currently I use Black Magic Tire Wet spray and it doesn't do anything for my tires, but it shines up my wheels pretty good, but how can I make my tires shine? I've seen people make their tires look like brand new off the show room floor tires, how can I do that?

Everyone is forgetting the first step to a great looking tire. You cant just use a quality dressing and expect your tires to look great. Does anyone know what the first step is??

Make sure it's as clean as your paint.

Wesley's Bleach-White? Or is that a no-no also these days? I have quite a bit but haven't used it in a few years.

Croftgate. I've used quite a few different ones and that is the best by far! It cleans the wheels and water spots off the wheels really well.

They have something called tire coating out now that is like a permanent tire shine. I've used the turtle wax and the meguires and they are both about the same.

The kit comes with a heavy duty tire cleaner that you start with, then you spray the coating on, let it dry for one hour, avoid scrubbing for 3 days, and you're set for months. When the tires get dirty just spray them off with a hose.

The shine is also way better than traditional tire shines. Forget wet, the tires look like ice.

Can I buy that stuff at my local autozone? And do you have pics of what it does?

Wesleys bleach white will still clean up the tires but be careful of getting it on some wheels. Your wheel cleaner should disolve the brake dust so spray some on the tires and they should clean up.
Optibond is a very good tire dressing which is water based and will not sling on the side of the car.

Are you guys looking for tire shine or just nice black tires? I use Simple Green on the tires to dissolve the dirt and dust and I use a brush to work it in. My tires come out nice and black, as they should. I'm not a fan of shiny tires as rubber's visual properties are to be flat, not shiny.

AMMO Mud. It's not meant to be super shiny, but it will give your tires a deep black look.

Yeah, actually autozone is where I bought mine at. The turtle wax version comes in a kit, I would do that so you get the "right" tire cleaner to use first.

I'll put up a picture when I get off work for ya brother

Here's the tires after having the tire "coating" on for 2 months Just took a wet rag and wiped the grime off for the picture. Even after this long you can still see your reflection In the tire lol.

Totally forgot to put the picture up, sorry man.

Just used Turtle wax tire wet/shine spray .. its a foam that disappears.
My tires looked like **** until I used this and now they look so clean and brand new! just be careful and only get it on the side walls as it feels as if it makes the tires very slippery

I've tried a bunch lately and liked Maguire's Insane Shine aerosol. Nice and wet. It wouldn't really shine for more than a day though and costs nearly $10 a can.

Then I tried Armor All gel. That's my fav by far. No overspray and it leaves an absolutely slu*ty wet finish that holds up under car washes.

If you don't believe me, the night I put it on I got propped by a hooker who pulled up next to me on Grand Ave. in Detroit. LOL

(...and no, I didn't.)

I like Armor all best. That leaves the best shine and longest lasting. I've also been looking but nothing beats that stuff

Apply using the sponge. Spray on stuff gets all over your rims and, depending on what brand it is, can eat your clear coat.

Armor All anything is trash, all it does is eat interiors and dry out anything it touches.

I've heard the Meguiars version isn't as good as the Turtle Wax version. I'm about to pick up the Turtle Wax one and try it out.

I've used it and it's more of a satin than a glass. The turtle wax version is much brighter and noticeable.

How much is that stuff usually? And where do you get it? Might have to give it a try but haven't seen it around.

I got it from Amazon for about $10. Not sure if the local box stores carry it, I didn't even bother looking for it there.

Try Chemical Guys. I was a Meguiars person but after using CGs I won't go back to Meguiars.
