Max tire size

I have 17x8 bullitt wheels. I want my rear wheels to have wider tires. How big of tire size can I go with the rear wheels without having any concerns?

275 wide is about the biggst that will fit on a 8" wide rim but it will perform like ****. Wider is not always better, I would go with the stock size or a 255/45/17 on a 17x8 and no bigger. If you want a wider stance then get some hubcentric spacers or a 10 or 10.5" wide rear wheel.

Just match them all up so you can rotate them. 255/45/17 was the OEM size on the 94/95 Cobras, they fit totally fine.

I have the 1.5 inch spacers on the rear. Will the 255 be to much with the spacers?

Shouldn't be an issue. If you have 245s on now the 255s will not be an issue. Although there really is no reason to go from a 245 to a 255 if you are on the stock rims really. At least IMO. Like I said, 255/45/17 was a SN95 OEM size which a lot of ppl don't know.

If I put 255/45 or 255/40 in the front, will it handle ok?

It'll handle like stock. 255/45/17 is a stock size.

Thanks. I just wanted my front tires not to be tucked in.
