Bummed...

Got my baby off the boat and into my shop and tried swapping the CCWs off my RX-7. Looked like it was going to work too, but apparently the bearing caps on the Mustang are a couple MMs larger so no joy.

I guess I'll call CCW tomorrow and see if they can sell new centers, or see if I can have these machined to fit. Dang things were so expensive, I hate to not be able to use them.

Bummer indeed. Which CCWs do you have?

Classics. 18x9 and 18x10 with matte insets. I called CCW and it turns out they sell the center caps for 25 each. So I'm going to knock out the centers and test fit again. If the backspacing works its gong to be hard for me to justify 2k for tires and rims if I've got these sitting in the garage.

Seeing them under the wheel well though made me realize how small 18s can look under this car. Its amazing. I went from 15s to 18s on the RX-7 and they felt huge.

I hear you man. I've been debating on 18s or 19s for long time, but I'll probably end up going with 19s.
