Two Fer One Question

1- 2004 GT, not lowered, on stock wheels can I safely run 255/45/17 tires with no worry about scrubing when Turning deep or cornering hard?

2- Anyone have any experience running Nitto 555 tires. I took Goodyear Eagle Formula tires that had petrified off my truck and put Nitto 420S tires on and the ride improved 30%. Goodyears had gotten so hard it was like riding on buggy springs!!

1. You will be fine, I ran that size on my car for a bit with no scrubbing issues and my car is lowered a lot.

2. If you're looking for a Nitto that provides good traction I would look into the NT05s before looking at the 555s

Sounds good thank you. You don't want to go bigger and the first time you corner hard you hear tires squealing but not the way you want!

Definitely. If the car is gonna see some hard corners I would honestly step down to a smaller sidewall
