Finally decided on wheels, need help deciding on meats

After months of deliberation with myself, I've decided on a wheel. STR racing's 607. It's a concave, thin 5 spoke wheel for those of you unaware. I'm going with a 19x8.5 +35 and a 19x10 +40 rear. Shied away from 20's for weight purposes, and I feel 18's aesthetically look small on S197's. I'm lowered 1.5" all around. This car is basically used heavily in only spring/summer and will barely see elements. I'm leaning towards a DR out back, but I'd just like to hear some knowledgable opinions on the subject. I plan on hitting the drag strip at least 3-4 times a year. I have a round trip work commute of 14 miles so the car only has 6300 on it lol. I know this subject has been beaten to death, but bear with me, it took me like 6 months to decide on a wheel lol.

Thanks in advance gents.

They grip well when the roads are warmer than these last couple weeks, great wet tire so far except the cold affects the grip.

Congrats on finally pulling the trigger. Some really sweet wheels man. As for the meat, you cant go wrong with Nitto. For the applications you mentioned I would suggest some NT05 or NT05R if you really wanna pull the pavment right out of the ground. NOT suggested for any type of wet performance and they both ride a little rough. If you are looking for a smoother ride but still want performance I loved my Nitto Invos.

Thanks boys. Yeah I'm either leaning towards NT05's or Toyo R888's as of right now. Waiting on the wheels to actually come in, test fit, and go from there on a size. Laquisha, those look sick. Can't wait for them to come in.

Welp boys and girls, here they are. And there's my best friend being a dumb *** lol. STR 607's 19x8.5 +30 fronts and 19x10 +35 rears. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to leave the wheels as is or powder coat them. Initially my thought was to powder coat them right off the bat, but I'm going to test fit them and see if I can surprise myself lol.

Thanks brother. Getting some mixed reviews as of right now. Looks like we're in for some 40-50 degree weather next week. Might be time for a test fit.

Bumping this. It's almost time to buy some rubber. Thinking NT05's rear, 555's front....anyone have any better ideas at this point? I'm getting ancy The weather is getting nicer...lol

I also have to buy some TPMS's. Anyone try those valve stem versions? That's probably what I'm going to go with.

I think the wheels will compliment your car's color very well. But I think the white will be tough to keep clean considering brake dust, road grime, and rain spots...
All in all, it's your car the only opinion that matters about your car is your own. I'm constantly criticize about buying a 4.6 and not a 5.0, but I honestly don't give a damn what people think about my car. They don't pay for my insurance, maintenance, and modifications to the car so it doesn't matter what they think...

Well said recon. I agree whole heartedly. That being said, when it comes to tires, I need some assistance. This is essentially a 3 season car. It will never see snow. I'll track it maybe 2-3 times this year (drag). I just need help choosing a good tire set up to suit my needs. Something grippy, but something I can live with for 3 seasons.

And I totally agree with the brake dust comment. Which was why I was leaning towards a powder coat of some sort.

Anyone have thoughts on the 555r's? I'm looking for something grippy out back but can be driven on the streets. Also looking for suggestions on a front tire. Maybe the 555's?
