Tires that can fit 17x10.5 wide.

I'm wanting to get a some-what sticky tire. I have a 17x10.5 rim with a 315 summinito tire on, but I was wanting Mickey Thompson ET streets 275 tire. I see people say they run a bit wider in their tires sizes would it look ok on my rims and would I rub?

Theres no reason why a 275 wont work. I know a lot of wheel and tire packages come with 315 but really i think thats a little wide but as long as the tire doesnt exceed the diameter of the wheel, to prevent tire roll in a turn, you will be fine

275 I wouldn't put on a 10.5".

A 275 Dublop or BFG I would put on a 10" though

Tires that can fit 17x10.5 wide.

I think I'm gonna take a stab at a 275 Mickey Thompson et streets 1. Only 275 tires I know that won't fit a 10.5 are nittos, sumitomo, falken, and nexan. And as of what I know a 275 bfg, MT's, and Dunlop should fit a 10.5 with little stretching.

Also did a big burnout on my old tires to finish them up.

Check out my burnout finishing off the last of the old tires on this facebook page.

On a solid rear axle like the Mustang... not much to do except change out the lower control arms, delete the quads and put in fresh upper control arm rubber bushings.

Edit: And good luck with the axle side bushing... there is a tool to do them tho, makes it simple.

I already installed polyurethane bushing on stock lower and upper control arms, I'm lower 1.5 eibach sport line springs and to tokico shocks. I still have stock quad shock should I delete the quads?

Not with the stock control arms no, you need the quads. Poly bushings in the stock arms really don't do anything, its the arms themselves that flex. The uppers need to to keep the rear from binding up in turns but the lowers should be a rigid aftermarket unit.

Problem with the 4 link is that it just sucks and it will move around during cornering no matter what. Just run a good set of tires and keep the inflation up around 35-38 psi and they should last awhile unless you are doing burnouts like crazy.

Dang, haha I'll probably rebuild my rear-end after this racing season. Might as well get control arms, and all that rear-end goodies. My car is a weekend/strip car so it'll be getting some abuse.
