Front tires 1 inch shorter than rear

I am currently running 255 40 19 front tires (27"). The rear tires are 285 35 19 (26.9")
My question is, would it hurt anything to drop the front tires to 245 35 19s (25.9")?? 1" difference.
My front tires are shot from tracking it. The smaller tires are on sale for $99 each. The 255 replacements are $220.

A "square" tire and wheel setup will help with the understeer that you are experiencing on the track.
I'm not sure if that 1 inch difference will affect the ABS or not.

My front tires are 2" shorter than my rears and I don't have any problems.

That's good to know. I don't have the money at the moment to spring for proper road course tires (200 or under treadwear).
More than likely I am going to just buy two front tires that are an inch shorter than my rears.
