255/45-18 on Stock Pony Package V6 Rims

Searched and could not find a suitable answer. Will Mickey Thompson Street Comps in 255/45/18 fit on 2013 Pony Package rims which are listed at 8" wide?

I posted the question on American Muscle's site a while back but it has received no answers. One of the "customer pictures" shows them on the same rim and they don't look to bulge too much. The height should be close to the same as the stock Pirelli tires. I'm pretty set on this tire and I know they are offered in the stock size, but I'd like to go a bit wider.

Hey Au - Good question and we typically suggest around a 245 but that's just a small difference between that and the 255 and you're going to be just fine!

FYI...Tirerack.com shows for 255/45/18 tires that the design rim width is 8.5" but that the rim width range is 8" to 9.5".
But if you change to a lower profile, like 255/40/18, the minimum changes to 8.5" width.

Yeah, I saw that. I guess the different sidewalk heights change how much flex is allowed.

Doesn't matter though, I ordered Niche 20s with Sumitomo tires.
