Wheel question

What is the most common?

Looking at doing a 18xx and a 18x10 in the rear.

235/50/18 in front, and looking to do maybe 275,40,18 in rear.

but what width wheel should i do for the front

8.5 or 9 then do 235 to 255 in front but that's just me. I run 9.5 on all 4 with 275 40 19. Love it

I ended up going with 20x8.5 in front with 255 35 20 and a 20x10 285 35 20 in the rear.

you don't want to put a 235 tire on an 8.5 rim. Do at least a 255 if you're going to do an 8.5.

If it's your daily driver, I would probably get the same size all around.

Only reason why i was gonna do that was to be cheap, i have four new 235 on the car now, and i can do 18x8 on front and 18x10 rear

It's not really being cheap, but rather getting the most out of your tires. I was going to do the same, but ended up finding a great deal on the 20x10s I have on the rear w tires. So I just ordered the 8.5s for up front to match. Although, it does looks tits.

I want to do AMR's as well, but what sucks though is there is no lip, so you really don't notice the difference

you cant really tell the difference of a 8 wide and a ten wide due to the way the wheel is setup

Ohh. Meaning they're not deepdish wheels? Yeah not noticeable really from the side, but looking front to back, you can tell there's a difference

Also, you're probably well aware of it, but don't lose sight of the tire diameters, either closely matching OEM or need to dial in change for speedometer and possibly auto transmission.

Yes, that is why i said what sizes i wanted to run, they would be close, but looks like 275/45/18 would be closer... Again i may just say screw it, and run 275/40's all the way around

Some guy I bought my rear wheels off of was running 285s up front and said it was kicking crap up all over the side of his car. If you invest in the 275s make sure you get the little mud guards for the front that they sell on AM. One of the first mods I did and it was well worth it. Keeps the car a lot cleaner.
