Tire help

I just bought an awesome set of 18/9 wheels from American Muscle from their July sale.

They are going on my 94 gt but I'm not sure what tire size to get.... I like the tire sticking out just a little, nothing really wide.....

what would you recommend?

Thanks!

94gtky - Good question and if you're putting an 18x9 on any 94-98 we suggest using a 265-35-18 Series Tire.

That's going to have more than enough meat along with side wall to help the car get better traction and handling as well. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'm here to help!

What's your existing tire size?
Are you trying to maintain the same tire diameter to avoid speedometer error and/or need of correction?
Generally, 275 is the approx max tire width recommended for the 18" x 9" rim.
As far as amount the side of the tire will stick out(without the use of spacers) you could figure the difference in width between your existing tires and the proposed tires and divide by 2. That would give you the approx amount the new tire would be sticking out beyond your existing tires.
Forgot to mention: You would have to look at the offset difference between your existing rims and your new rims.
