Continental DWS Warranty

Hey so I purchased some DWS from a dealership and within the first 4000 miles sidewall blew out. Anyone know if there's a way to get some money back or am I out like $250. Dealership said they couldn't do anything and manufacturer would say it was road hazard.

Well it does kinda look like a road hazard blowout. In which case, w/o a road hazard warranty, I believe you're out of luck.
That's a shame!

Unfortunately the dealership never offered any sort of tire coverage like America's Tires or any other reputable tire shop. Is there anything I can do or is it just a sketchy practice? I wish I had never went to the dealership for tires but I was getting my oil changed at the time so it was a one stop shop.

I am not aware of any options you may have to recover some of your money.
Apparently there are people that feel a Road Hazard Warranty is not worth it.
I guess I would have to see the cost of the warranty vs. the cost of the tires.
Well keep in mind that (1)you saved the cost of the warranty on 4 tires, which I would assume is substantial in today's day and age. (2) The coverage is typically prorated.
So let those thoughts ease your pain a bit.

If you ran over something... **** happens... I just lost a tire myself and of course that was the set I got on CL for $100 for basically brand new tires for my truck FML... Had to buy a new tire. It is what it is, drive on the road and eventually you'll get a flat or a blowout.

I'd contact Continental and see if they'll do anything. Worst they can say is no.

I like the DWS tires but i must say the sidewalls are terrible. Anyways my side wall had swollen and i contacted the dealer from whom i purchased the tires but they said it is not covered under warranty. I contacted continental tires and they provide road hazard warranty. I took it back to the dealer and asked them to speak with continental. They replaced the tire for me. Continental by default offers road hazard warranty up to certain miles.
