RTR released the Tech7's earlier this year.

They are by far the most affordable lightweight wheels for us "common" folk.

Like most of you, I always wanted to change my wheels, but I didn't want to "downgrade" by getting something heavier that may have looked better. Kinda defeats the purpose.

The stock Brembo wheels (19x9) are fairly heavy if you search the internet for a weight..

The RTR Tech7's are 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 and come in at 23lbs.

Now we're talking!

The wheels are a littler over $200 a piece at AM... but the tire prices will make your wallet cry.

Those tech 7s look pretty nice. If only I could get rid of my older RTRs and get those

Factory 19" CS wheels for me happy with the look. What's the widest tire I can go with?

255/40 19 is what comes on the 8.5 wheel on the Performance Package wheel which is the same basic wheel.

I have 20's on my 2015, but it's a performance pack, and the 15" rotors fill the wheels real nice. Now if you had smaller rotors, then a 20" wheel really brings that out. I had a 2001 GT with the red Bullit 13" brakes. Only had 18" rims. looked really good. How much the brakes fill the wheels makes a big difference in looks.

Removed the 2012 GT/CS stripe (black on black sucks) Replaced with 13-14 Silver GT/CS stripes. I now have a 2015 Magnetic Gray Premium GT with Performance Pack, Borla's, Velgen 20" wheels with Nitto Invos with 275's up front, and 295's in the rear. Airaid CAI, JLT oil separator.

Yeah, I heard 255 would be the biggest safe size for a 8.5" rim as well.

I have 18's on my 2014 and 20's on my 2008. The 20's look better. To me anyway.

I agree with the look of these wheels, really like them too. Funny thing though is I never gave them a second look when I had my other stang but they fit the look of the gt/cs really well. I've been looking for some replacements for mine since the previous owner put some curb rash on them. No luck and the only oem replacements I found want $380 per wheel. I could get a really nice wheel setup for those prices.

Funny, I was about to make a comment regarding the stock wheel sizes used on the Mustang vs others like the Camaro and Challenger. That being why do they use such narrow wheels and tires. I agree with most of you about the 18s. I do think a slightly larger wheel would bring out a more aggressive look but the brakes would look really dorky if you don't have Brembos. Also too I feel 19"s aren't worth the cost of the tires. You can get 20" tires cheeper than 19"s in most cases. It's just not a necessary expense in my eyes. Thay being said I picked up a 2012 GT/CS back in June. As much as I liked the look of the 19" wheels for the car I just new it was going to suck buying tires and I had just bought some a few months prior on my Pony Package V6. So I traded the wheels out lol. Left the 19s on the V6 and kept my 18s. I feel the car has a leaner look with the 18s, but I feel the width is far too small. I'm curently running 245/40 18 tires all around, but I think a set of 255 may not be much wider to help with traction and am highly considering putting on some 265s
