I know my Continental DW's are quiet, but are also no good below 40 degrees.
The reason I asked about rotation was my E150 was louder than heck and rotating with crossing over the fronts to the rear fixed them. Those Coopers are not directional so they can be rotated that way to wear the feather down and then put on the opposite front tire when they get moved up front.

They are directional so they can't be crossed but this spring i'll be shopping for new tires and i was looking at the Continentals online they sound like a decent tire though.

Four come to mind, and my choice is the Michelin Pilot Sports (PS2). Had a set on my 2011 Mustang, and ran 60K on them, with tread still available when I traded it in.
Here are the other "quiet" performance tires:

Kumho Ecsta LE Sport
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric
Continental ExtremeContact DW

You can go to the tire rack and read reviews. Keep in mind most of the reviews are done on a new set of tires with less than 1,000 miles

My Pirelli stock tires are really noisy at 26,000 miles.
I'm probably going to replace them with Michelin Pilot Sports.
I had them on my Mini JCW and before that on my Corvette and they never got loud as they wore down.
They were also great in the rain and stuck good on a dry road.
