Another will they fit thread

My step son just bought a 92 lx, with the giant 4 banger, LOL. Anyway, what year wheels will fit this car? it has some generic chrome wheels now. I wanna hunt around for some take offs.

Re: Another will they fit thread

I have the same giant motor in the 93 LX I just bought. Hell of a lot better mileage than my cobra though. :yup:

If it is still 4 lug then I would look for the early 90 model pony wheels. They are 16" wheels and they are the best looking factory wheels for the 1979-1993. You may be able to find them in chrome, white, or silver.

if you want a wide variety of wheels then you could do a 5 lug conversion and then you can fit a little wider wheel and choose from the 94-2004 wheels. There are kits out there to do this or you can even do the cheap junk yard conversion. Just throwing an idea out there for ya.

Well I found a set of Pony wheels for 100 bucks, kind of hard to pass that by.

By the way, what kind of Mileage are you getting out your Monster LX?

Re: Another will they fit thread

Last week was just a tick over 23 mpg using the AC. I'm driving this week without AC to see if it goes up from there since the AC system seems to put such a strain on the car that it will stall or nearly stall if you start it up with the AC on.

This is only my third week driving the car. So far I have calculated 22.xxx mpg driving like an ass the first 2 days (flooring it to see how fast it will go from a dig) and now the 23.xxx from last week.

It sure is nice to press the 87 button at the pump instead of the 93. Also nice to only fill up once a week instead of twice.

Oh, and my driving is a mix of about 50% highway stop and go, 40% highway @ 65-70 mph, and 10% city.
