Re: Towing 4-down
There are really two issues with towing and vehicle 4 down...keeping the steering straight and keeping it out of gear.
For keeping it out of gear I would recommend pulling the driveshaft while towing and reattaching when needing to drive. Just putting it in Neutral would probably be a bad idea because if you hit a bump and it decides to pop into gear you'll never know it in the motorhome, leading to catastrophic nightmares of damage to your new car.
Keeping the steering straight is a whole 'nother ballgame. You can try just "locking" the steering wheel but this, too, can fail. I'm sure someone out there makes a straight steer system meant just for this purpose but I don't know of any off the top of my head.
If you can solve those two problems I see no reason for you not to tow 4-down anywhere across the country. If you ever pull through Memphis just holler, we'll welcome ya here.
