Cool camshaft HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have an automatic 3.8L V6 03' mustang. I was wondering if this model has single over head cam or dual. Also what kind of camshaft to get. And how much it would cost for a shop to install it and do they have to pull the motor out because that would cost me more money

none, it is a pushrod engine that only uses one cam.

your 3.8 engine is neither a SOHC or a DOHC, you have a OHV. An OHV uses only 1 camshaft located in the middle of your engine. For a new and better camshaft it would cost you about $200, and then to have it installed I would say about $500. Where in KY do you live?
