Gears, t-lock, intake, exhaust, long tube headers. Just to name a few.

Re: suggestions.. im a newby...lol

Don't listen to V8 owners when they tell you "go buy a v8" most of them really have no clue what v6's can do. Some may.. some may not but at the end of the day they are all mustangs. I loved my two v6's I owned previous to my 03 cobra far more than most would ever love their shelby's so... its not what you drive but how you drive it if you will.

V6's can be made very very fast (9's anyone?) its just not quite as cheap or easy.. and they are more rare I guess~ dont let v8 owners tell you other wise. Its not just about speed in a straight line... v6s handle better mod for mod.. they are less heavy and have better weight distribution lol. Its not just about hp/tq.. that wont get you around the corners.

The 05+ v6 has great potential with the 4.0, I would personally start with exhaust, make it true dual exhaust (looks better on mustangs). After that you can either do all the bolt ons (udp, cai, tune, handling things, wheels/tires) which dont really make massive gains~ but help all in all or you can do something more radical~ its all up to where you want the car to go.

The best place to start is research so you buy the RIGHT parts thats RIGHT for your car and dont get ripped off.

Spector is right. I had a V6 before I picked up the GT and I loved the car, had great potential and was probably the quickest stock 6'er you could drive.

Besides some people are into performance, some like style and others are just audiophiles that believe their car is just a giant speaker box

It's your car do what you want to it all that matters is that you like it, everyone has a different taste.

Bolt ons are a great way to start and plan accordingly for those future mods

First off, do what everyone else has said and decide exactly what you want to do with it. After that, if you want some mods, here's a quick list of what's what in the v6 world:

Re: suggestions.. im a newby...lol

Spec hit it right on the head with his reply. Do what you want to do with it, its your car, and it does have a lot of potential.

Hell, I could have bought a new Mach 1/ 02 Ws6 when I was 15, but didn't want to pay an insurance premium comparable to a vette, so I settled for the v6. At times, I wished I bought a v8, but I love my current stang. I wouldn't trade it in for any other car.

So...start modding and have fun

Gears & t-lock are definitly the best bang for buck after that CAI and exhaust should follow up for very good starter mod's
