I would have rather got a tuner, but a chip works I suppose.

Only way to learn is to do it yourself, and don't be afraid of messing up. Everybody does at one time or another, we're human. Also, don't be afraid to ask for anything on here, as most of the people have a very, very broad knowledge of everything dealing with mustangs.

what brand chip is only a small part of the equation into what it can and can not due. All that is is hard ware, without the right software loaded on it.. its a paper weight.

Anyone can write a program for your car and load it on any chip... some chips/tuners offer more areas to improve so thats the only thing to really look at when picking your brand... other than the fact of what brand your perfered tuner uses.

The second part is the tuner, it should not be some company that shoves a generic tune on it and mails it out. It should be from a REAL tuner that spent time developing the tune to get it right for your car and programs it specifically for your mods and setup.

The final thing you can do is have a dyno tune (best way to go) they can modify the tune for your exact specific car.

Great Advise !!!!! The last thing you wanna do is tune your car without the proper knowledge

+1...trial and error is great for working on your car...but if you don't know how different things affect each other in your tune, stay out of there till you can learn elsewhere.

On a side note, 2007Stang, what's with the attachments? Is there a reason you're attaching images to your posts...like bribing us for good answers or something? lol

Re: Is jet performance chip any good

You can buy from places like VMPTuning where you will get a real good base tune. Or amazon racing, or runnin with the devil....lots of places. The last two offer remote tuning, as does brooks tuning in georgia...they send you a tune, you data log some stuff, send the log, they fix any issues, rinse, repeat and you will get nearly as good of a tune in the end as you would on the dyno.

Re: Is jet performance chip any good

if you can find a dyno they can usually remote into a PC at the dyno and tune your car from where ever~ thats what i will probably end up doing when i get mine tuned
