Which damn plug?

why does Autolites come in 3 different plugs for the V6?

'99 - 764's
'00,'01 - 765's
'02,'03,'04 - 605's

what the hells the difference? Also, i thought the 764's were one heat range colder, for nitrous applications.

which ones are equivelent to the motorcraft 42c's?

Gracias.

There are some changes in programming and timing that play a part. Also the polution control of cars even though the same engine changes year to year. There are many varibles that could change plug requirements

i was just wondering why ford wouldn't do what autolite is doing, since
they're notorious for the rapings!

i meant it as ford not having different ranges for the v6, at least ford told
me that they were the same plug for the '99+ v6's, either in copper or
platinum, and i know the conductivity difference between both of them.

I use the 605's

I dunno what temp they are (probably stock) but they're a longer thread than the 764/765's.

When I get nitrous I'll probably go buy some denso's.

see, that's what i've got in my '99, i did have 765's and they seemed to burn a little better, but i'd like to know for sure what
plug is suppose to be in my engine. what auto part stores sell motorcraft?
