99 V6 mustang has 190 Flywheel HP 170RW for a manual!
Single port 3.8s might have had 155 but 99+ are Split port!!
Why do people insist on giving single port ratings for split port intake cars?

Re: with bolt on's, could this be true?

ok so i was a little off but he said 155 "MANUAL TRANS"
Autos loose 40 hp? man that sucks!

Just off the top of your head what would you say my hp would be with my mods? My intake is an elbow on the Tbody going to MAFthen a 8inch long tube going to a K&N about the size youd see in a diesel truck. Tbody has been half shafted and polished.

was the gt moded let me ask some questions the 2005 and up gt stock 300 hp 750 lbs more than the V6 same year thats about 1 hp per every 10 lbs off the line thats means the v6 (285 hp with out mods both have 3:31 gears if gt auto trans and v6 manual ) the way i see it even until you get third gear. add some mods to the v6 ????????????

You forget a very important factor - torque.

Re: with bolt on's, could this be true?

ummm, this was not ment to be a tecinal thread, just wanted to know what you thought his mods would get him... we can all go by charts of what others have done, but mods react differantly to different cars. for instance, his car has more work, but i will beet him everytime. yes there both autos, and sticks have more power, but i raced a stock manual six, and again beet him bad, couldnt keep up throught any gear. so lets just say if u have flow 40s cai, and intake spacer your in the right direction, and if anyone saw my other thread about a p&p, i will be doing that myself at school in a few weeks, so again, thats some easy hp.

Re: with bolt on's, could this be true?

Whats the real numbers 05+ (v6 210 hp) 245 ci (v8 300 hp) 285 ci (35 ci i can't believe that can't be made up) whats the weight different i heard 750 lbs thats 1hp per every 10 lbs and 95% of mustang owner never mod their gt so it (depends on what gt or v6 your going against) and what driver your going against... Yes the gt will have more potential always until you run into a gt500, viper , nascar, the main thing it that we love mustang and its after market. So to say that a v6 is less of a car is bull****

When speaking performance terms it is less of a car. When comparing drivetrains not ergonomics.
