Re: delay reaction when hitting the gas

Pretty much the delay is the time it takes the Transmission to pressurize for the down shift.

Re: delay reaction when hitting the gas

they make transmission shift kits that might help fluid pressure build up faster also what about a locked converter?

its a manul! what kind of shift kit would you guys recommend? i was thinking just like a short shifter or something! i noticed after i got these gears installed that it does take a good sec or 2 to shift! the car gets up and goes now but the shift really slows me down i think!

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly what kinda of delay you mean when your speaking of a manual. Is it taking you longer to shifter as a whole? I would look into a shift kit to help you shifter faster and make more consistent solid shifts.

On my T3650 I was very impressed with the UPR Blue Thunder. But I am sure most all of them will make a significant difference.

Re: delay reaction when hitting the gas

well the dealy was weird! more like a pause! if u were a passenger u would have never known but i could tell cause im the one who hit the gas! i stomped the gas and it was like 0.5 sec before the it registered with the car and then it just slung us down the road lol! and the shift as a whole too is WAYY to long it seems not with these new gears! i never noticed it before but now my car races through 1st,2nd, and 3rd gears and the longest part is the shift it feel like! any body know price ranges on a shift kit?

Re: delay reaction when hitting the gas

no shift kits for a manual and a shifter wont do anything to how fast it goes, try cleaning your maf and perhaps a tune up with plugs~ and wires if the wires are older (60k +
