Any answers you get will also depend on driver ability & weather conditions.

Rob, Kirk Arn't you glad we are lower than that now

I remember before I modded I was thoroughly disgruntled with the lack of speed, But I knew I could rebuild her. I would make her stronger, faster, improve handling, Improve her looks and feel then after I was thru with my Wife I went to work on my car DOOH!!! k:

i expected more out of them than that...i'm disappointed. Especially from a 3.8-3.9 litre. Mine is only 2.5 inline 6, wrx has a 2.5 flat 4 (although turbo charged) 350z only has a 3.5 litre and puts out some good numbers

Any car that was built without a turbo does extraordinarily well with one in comparison to a car that has a turbo stock because they're built differently and have to stay within more guidelines or criteria. Even mkiv supras do a hell of a lot better when changing to a better turbo or converting to single. Turbos that come stock in cars aren't comparable to aftermarket ones. Can't you figure out displacement with a turbo and it's psi? Find out what displacement a wrx would have with it's psi and see if you would still put down more than that. Especially once you get into sti territory which runs 13's and has a 2.0 or 2.5 litre.

With my stock v6 5 speed my best run was 16.4@88mph. Otherwise high 16's to low 17's sounds about right. I think the 1/4 is all about the launch and shifting ability.

a few people have stated that it is 16.5 but i find that hard to believe for the 5-speed , not automatic, the auto i believe but i figured the 5-speed convertibles were faster than that?

Purehell was urs the one in the picture? cause that has only 150 Hp stock if its a 1998 so my 99 should be quicker than 16.4

The Wrx has a crapload more than 217 HP... I've ridden in one stock... those things are fast

That and with about $1200 you can get about 300 or more to the wheels and thats with the stock turbo... My friend has one and I help him mod it.

I don't know about you guys but I have an 03 5-speed and I ran a 15.8 @ 89 at the track when I went, and my launch was terrible. I heard that guys with good launches can get as low as 15.3.

There are a lot of factors. Sometimes location is just the biggest thing. People on the East coast run faster times than we do on the west coast too, generally. I've seen a whole second difference at different tracks, so thats why there are always so many arguements about time and such.

what elevation are you?

I run CONSISTANT 16.18-16.20's at 85 MPH at 700Feet above sea level. Thats spinning too. My best time is a 16.06 @85.88

If I could get some decent tires and shave a few #'s I could hit 15's

the best thing that will get you times is PRACTICE.

It's all about knowing your car & track conditions, the ability to adjust will get you good times.

Also elevation, Barometric pressure, Humidity & air temp can make huge differences.

My comment was not aimed at anyones times in general.

I was a statement of variables most people don't realize make the biggest difference in their times or in comparison to anothers.

yeah those 40 horses will make a difference, and not trying to brag but i'm a pretty good driver. The other V6's out at the track were running 16.5's all night
