Re: license plate lights

While other body styles might vary, I'm definitely sure the SN95 (1994-2004) have two plastic screws per light. Pop the trunk and look above the license plate and you will see those screws. They will be a PITA so what you will have to do is get a small flathead screwdriver, or a small pick tool, and separate (pry) the screw from the plastic base. It will be hard to see but underneath the screw is a plastic base it actually screws into, when the screw is screwed in it will expand the plastic base holding the light assembly to the car.

By putting leverage between these two, and unscrewing the the philips head you should come out fairly easy. You just need a little patience with the whole procedure and fool around with it.

Re: license plate lights

^^^ <---- right on the money

I had to change mine the other day and to my surprise I also saw that the casing was cracked - so when you remove them you have to be very careful because those little lights are delicate. The bulb to be used is 168. If you use any other size you run the risk of causing a short. I have seen it happen... But other than that the whole process should take you no more than 5-10 minutes. Its pretty painless!

Good luck!
