N/A build

Im looking at doing a N/A build on my 2009 V6. I was trying to decide everything I wanted to do, get all the parts, and then have all done at one time (also do some studying so that i can do some of it myself) but i was looking into headers and was wondering which headers for n/a build would be best I still want it to be emission friendly so .. any ideas? long tube/shorty ect?
Thanks

Re: N/A build

I'd seriously look into some BBK shorties. BBK makes some really good stuff.

He said emissions friendly. Some states wont let LTs thru emissions.

Re: N/A build

Also, with this project of yours to do an all motor project. Here are some things to look into and to think about. The less your motor has to work, the better. I.e.-lighter components across the board. Two mustang houses to seriously consider for references would be dynospeedracing out of memphis, tn. and supersixmotorsports out of georgia. They both know V6's and know'em well. The following is a list of parts to consider:

Shortie headers (BBK)
full exhuast
cold air intake
larger throttle body (BBK)
handheld tuner (SCT)
Underdrive pullies
aluminum driveshaft (Ford Racing)
aluminum flywheel
higher stall torque converter
3:73-4:10 gear
Mickey Thompson E/T streets
gut the back seat
gut the trunk
delete both front and back bumper support (if you don't drive like a maniac)
firm up your shifts with the tuner (if its an auto)
stiffer suspension (set a KYBs)
Port and polish your intake
port and polish your heads
relocate your battery to the trunk

These are some things to think about and ideas to examine. I look forward to hearing of your progress.

Re: N/A build

V8 my @$$!! Jack a V10 Triton out of an F550, Give those GT owners a taste of their own medicine. They just think two more pistons is gonna add and inch to their manhood.
When the truth is the V6 has more girth and thats what matters. (If your gf told you otherwise she was just being nice!!)
