drop top Rob

Can any one tell me if I can install a 3.8 liter engine from a 2000 mustang into a 1995 mustang. this car is already equiped with a 3.8 however I have been told the swap can't be done. I have a problem with this, it seems to me the only hindering factor would be sensers.

well the wiring and control systems are the only thing that is tuff. youneed to try to find a complete engine wiring harness and ECU for the new engine.

Re: drop top Rob

it can be done and has been done. It is not a direct drop in and go. You will need a new wiring harness, computer, fuel lines and fuel tank (the fuel return system differs), and other this and thats~

you could port your heads/intakes and do a good cam setup and make more hp/tq than a 99+ 3.8L if you wanted

Re: drop top Rob

the fuel system is different and will have to be replaced to 99 up specifications as well
