HOW???!!!

It seems like a simple operation, but HOW do you take off the dipstick?

I have an 01 v6, and i have the bracket off but it seems stuck, please help.

It should just pull up out of the block. You may have to wiggle/twist it back and forth as you pull up, but it should just pull right on out. At least, that's what it did on an 02 V6 I worked on.

bout to say it shouldnt be a hard process, not that ever understood why ford made the dipstick all fed up like that

I tore apart a chevy small block yesterday and i had it on an engine lift and i had to pull hard and twist it around a bit so i'm guessin if you are just workin under the hood it will just be harder to pull.

some bolt to the header~ so check to see if its bolted on somewhere

I can't comment on this or not because the 02 I worked on had shorty headers installed previously...so I don't know if they may have left off part of the tube or not.

But, the car I worked on just had the tube bolted to the block up high and then pushed into the block down low.
