So.. what exactly do I need...

to get 4.10 gears this summer? do i need a shift kit or anything else? do i need a new axle or anything like that?

you dont need a traction lock but it would definately be smart to do at the same time, then otherwise all you need is a chip to correct your speedo and you should be all set, so basically the list you have should about cover it

ive heard some talk about replacin the rear axle? is that just to get horses to the floor?

the axle transfers the power from the diff to the wheels, it doesent neeed to be replaced unless your going with a 31 spline unit
