Port and Polish....

hey i havent posted in a while, but let me tell you whats up. me and my friend are going to get a set of intake mainifolds, upper and lower, and a tb... at my school i have the tools to do a p&p, and i will start in a few days or so. now i have looked on v6 power and saw all the dyno sheets, and i saw an article on how to do it. but my question is... how big should i go? or should i just gasket match it? please help thanks.

Depends if it's for an NA set up or FI. Either way since this is your first time I would just gasket match it. That way you have a better chance of keeping them all equal. Plus if you make a mistake it leaves you some tolerance of where you could correct it. Be sure to clean them up real good so you're not grinding oil and crap into the intakes.

there is such a thing as to much~ just dont go to far, gasket matching would probably work pretty good, should net you 10-15hp

olright thanks. but like i said, at my school i have all the tools to do it. we have the grinder wheeles and all the air compresser tools to, so i will be able to totaly get all the shavings out. me and my friend will be picking this up sometime next week, so i just wanted to know how much i should go, and honestly i would do f/i but its not gona happen so its staying n/a for now, again thanks...

if its a 94-98 style you will have to cut the upper intake open to fully port the top part~ but for 99-04 you can reach a bit more. Also if 01-04 you can remove the IMRC lower intake valves
