broke down today

so i was drivin up a hill today when my car popped real loud and died, wont start, will turn over and try and run, but wont start, sounds like its not gettin fuel, anyone know what would be goin on, tomarrow im gonna buy a fuel filter and maf sensor and try those, but man im sooooo bummed about my car i dont know what to do, anyone have any ideas or ever had this happen,

Any check engine lights before hand? Maf sensor would be the last thing I change. pop as in backfire?

check engine light has been on forever, i figured it was because of my exhaust but i dunno i could be wrong, a bad maf would cause it to not know how much fuel to give it so therefore it wouldnt run, so im gonna try it cuz i have a hunch, i unno, but damn if this thing is gonna start breakin down on me im gonna have to can it, i unno

I am willing to bet it is not your maf alot of things cause insufficent fuel. So what was the pop? Back firing?? Knocking? What?

ya i was thinkin fuel pump all day, was not exited about that one, got home and was foolin around with it and got an idea, inertia (sp.) switch, apparently my sub box which i have never remounted since tearing apart my trunk when i put in my new shocks, hit it and unswitched it therefore cutting off fuel, i feel like an idiot but o well, at least its a free fix!! thanks for the imput tho guys

well i was pretty sure it was fuel related, and after going out last night after calming down ( i was pissed) so i could actually focus on what it was doing i knew it was fuel related, and my maf has been having problems so why wouldnt i wonder about that? but o well, im gonna look more into that problem this week, and fix my trunk
