Re: stroker?

When you stroke an engine your basically increasing the travel of the pistons. They move further up and down in the cylinder, resulting in more torque and larger displacement. This is done by replacing the crankshaft, along with the rest of the bottom end ~ crankshaft/main/rod bearings, piston rings, connecting rods

Tom Morana and Moranav6racing have a stroker kit available for the 4L OHC in your mustang, I think they start around $2500.
I'm not sure about Super Six Motorsports, I know they have 4.0 products, but not sure about stroker kits.

You'll probably see about 20-30 hp and tq from just the kit. You'll notice more torque, but your top end might decrease as you might make less hp. If you upgrade heads, cam, and intake along with the stroker kit all followed up by a good tune, you'll see more hp. You can probably see a 7-10 hp with the headers and the exhaust.

You will probably want to beef up your rearend and some suspension components, as well as brakes to handle the extra power.

Re: stroker?

for an 07 thats nearly new it would be cheaper to sell it and buy a gt if you want more power, you can do it no doubt but just saying it wont be cheap.

Re: stroker?

I didnt mean to say the car is not worth modding, it is, its just if you want 300hp then you will have to spend a good bit of cash to get there. A supercharger or turbocharger will do it and run you around 3-5k depending.
