Spark Plug gap.

What gap should i set my spark plugs to before I put them in. I have a 2000 3.8L.

Ya it's about .052" I use a rule of thumb to go .055". Did you have plantnuim or copper spark plugs? Platnuim plugs should NOT be gapped!! you'll crack them.

They're the motocraft double platinum or w/e but it says on the box that they should be gapped.
