Exclamation weird noise...

lately i have been hearing a strange sound come from my car...when im riding along at 1200-1700 RPM i heard this sound that sounds like a chain being drug down the road! but the sound will come and go really quick and if i play with the throttle sometimes it will come back for a sec. i know this isnt explained well or anything but does anyone have any ideas to what it could be?

kind of like that , but i would say it also sounds like squeaky grinding brakes as well .

P.S. it does it in second gear around 1300-1700 RPM and/or 30 mph and 40-50 MPH only

i might be way off but it kind of sounds like either a blown gasket or one of the journals on your crankshaft might be damaged. there are a lot of things that could be wrong with it. the only thing you can do is bring it to a reputable shop and do a diagnostics on it.

I'm not sure. Hold the computer up to the car and let me see.

was thinking.. could even be anything from an exhaust vibration to blown cat/heat shield.. ... without hearing the noise.. it could be anything
