it's just the state of mind. Nobody owns a v6 cuz they don't want to go fast. We have them because we like the looks of the car, can't afford insurance, or can't afford a GT. That about covers it, and tell us as much as you want to just go buy a GT, sometimes it ain't that easy.

How much more are they? Is it just the insurance that is expensive?

because I like to see people's face when I tell them it's a v6

I'd still LOVE to own a cobra or 5.0...but the v6 was my first car and I've turned it into what it is today. So to mod it and know I've done it all kinda makes me proud.

Bought my car for 4k dollars and will have 2400 into it and be right at 13's
I'll take my 13 second V6 Mustang for 6400 dollars and 90 dollars a month insurance over your 15 second GT and god knows what insurance.

that only cost $2400? the 4.2 shortblock alone is $2200 without shipping.

MXE heads cost a good $1k, intakes another $500, cam gaskets, bolts, misc hardware...

how does this add to $2400?

Because you dont own a forum with sponsorship. There are perks!!! I believe his kit from Mik will end up costing under 2400. He is also using a spare 3.8 block that will be magnafluxed for cracks, punched 30 over and decked I will be building it for him

WOO HOO Big crap I had a Z28 NA That would have skull fvcked a 5.0 with a supercharger MUHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHA And with nitrous it would have left you want at the starting line asking why did I buy a 5.0 MUHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA

This whole thread is a load of crap. There will always be someone faster even if you have a V8. That is why bragging is retarded and useless. I personally think a Fox body looks like a square box with ugly *** interior and would never own one even if it had 1000 HP. But that is my opinion. But who cares about my opinion really only I should so. Screw I am better than you crap. I like cars and modding I could care less if someone thinks it is a waste. But really isnt all modding really a waste. Hell some people like wasting money fishing because really it is cheaper to buy it at a fish market than the cost of a boat and gear.

Be real and Be Decent!!!

why you gotta take a cheap shot at my car for. Brent showed what he can do wit the amount of cash for his and im showing what the amount of cash can do for mine. But obviously you seen me post so you had to take the cheap shot. Fact is whether you think my car is ugly is still faster then you and majority of this board and others. Fact is theres always gonna be someone faster thats beyond obvious Mr. capt obvious So learn the differ between bragging and showing (yeah my owning your *** comment was suppuse to be ment as a haha not the oh no a v8 guy is downing a v6-er bs)
But obviously you dont see that. So whatever

Well there you go worrying about my opinion. Why I was not hammering your car just foxes in general and really it is only my opinion so again why would you care. Evidently many have a different opinion than I given the enormous number of people who mod fox bodies

As for My NA Z28 with 550 RWHP NA and 750 with a 200 nitrous shot it was a beast. But I was a profession builder of Marine racing engine and had access to some wild stuff right off the racing circuit. But that is in the past I do it for hobby now.

As I said everyone has a hobby or activity that waste money. What you waste it on is a personal thing.

Damn whole time i was thinking modern.

I can def see how you got those numbers. Old school cars are the easiest to get high HP from.

it was a 383 stroker with a racing X heads and X intake with 2 650 double pumpers sitting on it and used a special Crane Fireball Cam and a NOS 200 direct Nitrous shot. The other thing is it was 100% streetable only thing that was a ***** was the clutch was a monster to press in. Todays clutches are vastly better that in the 80's I went thru clutches every year or so.

uhm...all the cars from 79-04 are basically 90% the same, just the bodys have changed along with motors and interior. frame and chasis and all that fun stuff is all the same. so ur just calling your own car ugly danger dude, just the sheet metal has changed. when you can buy springs/shocks/struts for 79-04 that tends to tell you something aswell. besides when ford released the 05 gt they finally got to brag about the "1st all new mustang fro mthe ground up since 1979"

actually the sn95 and fox bodys do have some differences in the unibody chassis. thats why they make different cc plates for pre 94 mustangs and its different to install springs on a fox.

I know all about that. 79 and up are all based on the fairmont chassis. I am not going to get in a body style war. You to seem to be worried about my opinion. Please Dont I am not worried about yours But if you really really must know it is not the chassis I mind. Chassis sharing has been going on since the beginning of the automobile. The real problem is the 79-93 looked like a 2 door fairmont in the coupe version with a few bolt ons. 94 and up look nothing like a fairmont. But like I said who cares about my opinion

i know you think i stole your money and am a bad person, but get over it. don't start anything here in the thread at least.

i bet he runs better than a 15 now, considering he has 2 more cylinders, and a 5spd. And a little snake on the side of his car.
