Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

I'd have to agree with 19Delta...around 3-6hp on average. Despite the manufacturer's claim of 10-20hp.

However, I would NOT order through blue oval industries. I've heard negative things regarding the business, just recently someone started a thread about their unsupportiveness and crappy shipping.

Both Blue Oval Industries and RPM Outlet sell the Pypes headerback SS system, and I wouldn't order it from either.

American Muscle has the same system, with o/r x-pipe, (I haven't seen the system with the catted x-pipe) and you'll actually receive the system in decent shape within a reasonable time.

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

I don't see anything about a catted x-pipe on the system on the Blue Oval page.
I don't think they offer the catted x-pipe on the system...they sell the catted x-pipe by itself on the Pypes website. Also remember, that system is intended for a GT bumper...so you may want to get one, or be ready for some fitment issues under your stock bumper.

Idk, tough call, if you're right there you could drive and pick it up...but I've heard too many bad things about them, I wouldn't give them my business if they've been treating fellow stangers like ****, up to you...

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

I have the converter back system, the one that bolts up to the y-pipe. It was nice back when I was tight on cash and didn't know much about exhaust systems on cars...but If I had it to do over again, I'd get the headerback system.

That system at LMPerformance is nice, pricey but nice. There are some Borlas that are comparable.

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

Thanks man u are always quick with answers and helpful.

U think its pricey? I thought that for the whole entire thing including the catted x pipe it was a good price... It also has the polished tips.

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

If I were you, I'd just get a system without tips and dump it behind the rear axles. That way you don't have to get another bumper, worry about painting it, and so on and so forth. That's the way mine was before I put the GT bumper on mine.

I guess it isn't that pricey since you get the catback and the midpipe. The borla systems for the same price are just the bolt on y-pipe systems, so it is a good deal.

Mine is the same except for the x-pipe. Your system will be louder and you'll probably gain a couple more hp's since your getting rid of the y-pipe. I wish I had gone with that system...

That's a good point. The headerback system with the x-pipe is offered with turndowns directly from Pypes. I'm sure you could find a GT bumper in silver pretty easily and relatively cheap. I'd check forums and salvage yards for one.

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

BlueOvalIndustries will never put their hands on that system. Order from a company that actually cares about their customers.

You'll be seeing a gain of 5-10 hp at the wheels max.

Keep the catalytic converters on your car, even if they are High-flow cats they will sound alot better than an o/r pipe, trust me. Been there, done that.

Re: HOW MANY "HP"?

There's no need for an X-pipe on a V6, it's an even fire engine, an H-pipe is good.
