Wiring harness or lock/window assembly?

2000 Mustang V6. The driver side door works fine. The passenger side window wont roll up/down and the door lock will not engage unless pushing down manually. The passenger side lock switch will lock/unlock driver side though. I have the door panel removed. So, Im wondering is it the assembly or wiring harness and how do I fix either one. I have a spare assembly to replace the old but cant remove the 3 screws on outside of door because theyre stripped. Any suggestions appreciated!!

Re: Wiring harness or lock/window assembly?

If the switch on the passenger door is actuating the drivers side door lock, it sounds like its not the switch assembly that is borked I'd get to checking the wiring. If the screws are stripped it sounds like someone has been screwing around in there before, perhaps they pulled something loose?

Re: Wiring harness or lock/window assembly?

When I purchased the vehicle the passenger side window/lock didnt work but a few months later started working again. I just bought a screw/bolt extractor and have yet to use it to see if its the assembly. If I find out its not, could you suggest how I check the wiring?
