How much should I ask for my Mustang?

Hello All,

I am THINKING of selling my mustang so I can get a GT, but I wanted some input on whats a good selling price. So let get to the overview.

Its a 2004 Mustang V6 with 102,XXX miles, but drives really well and never been raced or smoked in. The paint color is Crimson Red which only 4500 were ever made in that color. Comes with 40th anniversary package which includes color matched mirrors, Bigger Headrest, Silver accents in dash, and premium wheels with 245/50 R16 Sumitomo tires. It has a Mach 460 stereo system and tan leather interior which has no tears or rips.

The car is bone stock underneath the hood except for a Flowmaster 40 series muffler which is dumped at the rear axle. Its has smoked lens and and 8000 K HID's. The back tail lights also has vinyl tint and it has a smoked LED third brake light. The rear bumper has some damage but isn't horrible and the windshield has crack all the way across but is a cheap fix. I think I got a quote of 280 for brand new piece of glass with installation included.

So with all that, how much should I ask?

Well, I did a quick kelly blue book, since that is what the average person will use to price out a car. I figured you have the 3.9 and an auto...I put it in good condition due to the windshield and the bumper, private party says...

excellent: $6390
good: $5865

i think around the 5k mark would be realistic (i wouldnt go lower than 4). i would ask 6 or something higher and let the buyer make an offer in that price range (5 up to whatever your asking is). truth is, mods add little to no value to the vehicle... sometimes even lower the value depending on the buyer. in fact, you might even consider reverting some things to stock and putting them in your gt when you get it.

about what loan value is for the car~ you may can get a tad more being an anniversary but most dont care about anniversary v6 models.

Well the car I am looking at buying is a 2005 Mustang GT with Saleen Supercharger so I really cant use those old parts again Probably ask 7k if I do choose to sell it and try to get 6.5k or 6k. If they dont like those aftermarket mods, I can always give them the stock stuff. Its sitting in my garage taking up room LOL. I would hate to sell it but for a mustang with a Supercharger, I would do it. I know Saleen Supercharger's arent the best around but I just want a daily driver that sounds cool and has power when I need it:burnout:

Has power when you need it? Sounds good to me. Lol

try 6.5 and i say that because of what u've already done to ur car - and because of the mileage it has.

you can always come down in price, and honestly 6900 vs 6500 isnt a big diff visually to me~ so you could start at 6900 and have some wiggle room.

If a 15 or 16 year old comes and looks at it tell him all the mods. If its a dood that doesn't give a **** tell him how it runs and how good of condition it is.

Why not a 03/04 Cobra, low mile? You could pick it up for the right price and have a solid bottom end.

BTW, Although your color combo may be a little less common it will not affect your selling price in the least way. 4500 is very common and its only a V6 (no offense), not a collectors car.
