need help o/o off?

i started my car jus a few minutes ago. havent started in bout 3 weeks. been working on it its haveing sum problems.. jus changed the spark plugs today... i started it and immediatly i got eh green?blue sign pop up sayin O/O off.. i have no idea wat that means.. looked in the owners manuel.. no help their.. any you guys have any ideas on what that means... also im haveing trouble putting my car into drive or reverse when i start my car up i press the break and hold in the button on the shifter it wont budge i have to pres in really hard to get it to budge... any ideas on that .. could be my tranny but had that replace about 15 20k miles ago... need help any ideas would be greatly appreciated =)

Look a bit closer, it says O/D off (overdrive) It means either your switch is screwing up, or your transmission is defaulting into 3rd gear only (no 4th)

Seeing as you're having issues getting the shifter to change, I would start there.. Could be the shifter, linkage or trans range sensor are messed up..

If it is trans, it would be something electronic setting the light.. Best way to tell is scan for codes, If O/D light is on due to an electrical issue rather than mechanical (linkage/etc) it should have a code to help you pinpoint the problem..

hm.. will do thank you... it was weird.. that sign came on then went away.. i never seen it b4.. i did eventually get the shifter to work.. but i will have the codes read... my neighbor has a code reader so il ask him bout it tomro... i appreciate the help =)
