STRAIGHT PIPES vs X PIPE

I KNOW I HAVE BEEN BUGGIN EVERYONE WITH MY EXHAUST HAHA SORRY...

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE MAIN DIFFERENCES ARE IN SOUND AND ESPECIALLY HP BETWEEN X PIPE AND STRAIGHT PIPES.

IM GONNA GET MY EXHAUST RE-DONE WITH THE SAME MUFFLERS BY A GUY THAT HAS BEEN WORKING ON MUSTANG EXHAUST FOR 30 YEARS AND WAS ACTUALLY RECOMMENDED BY A GUY AT THE DEALERSHIP - SO THIS TIME IT WILL ALL GO WELL! (I HOPE) HAHA... SO WHAT DO U GUYS THINK?

HERES A QUICK VID OF MY ACUTAL EXHAUST - ISNT BAD AT ALL, BUT I WILL B PUTIN A GT BUMPER AND MY EXHAUST IS HANGIN TOOOO LOW.

* I HAVE XPIPE WITH HIFLOW CATS. I NEED TO HAVE CATS BECAUSE OF VA LAWS.

Re: STRAIGHT PIPES vs X PIPE

I'd just do the x-pipe. Since you already have it with cats, it's worth putting back on.

Plus, the pypes mufflers don't sound bad with an x-pipe.

Good luck, hope everything goes smoothly for ya.

Re: STRAIGHT PIPES vs X PIPE

I think X will be O.K. with right mufflers. I put Ford racing 49 staters on my
08 500 vert, and they are very loud. Like a dumb *** I ordered x-pipe for
it, and when came, put on lift, and mechanic told me, this is same as you
have got. I did'nt know, and neither did they, that evidently it comes that
way. But mufflers are quite a bit louder than stock. Just little things, remind
me of old resanators. Stayed with Ford product, so as not to mess with
warranty. Go full out thru gears with top down, and they really blat.
Very loud inside, even at low speeds, and my hearing sucks.

I'm not quite sure what fiend finds so funny. I guess it must because I'm not a genius
mechanic like he evidently is. Glad he got his yuks for the day. Maybe it's to much
swampgas

Do you know who Billy Mays is? He was laughing at the random post saying "BILLY MAYS HERE"....had nothing to do with mechanical things...just randomness of Will's post.
