What else can I do?

I've done everything i can possibly think of to upgrade my engine. Pullies, intake, exhaust, long tube headers, shorty midpipe. What else is everyone doing?

Re: What else can I do?

better upper intake, rear end gears (no powrer gain but major upgrade), a GOOD dyno tune (really matters)

then suspension (you would be AMAZED what suspension can do)

Re: What else can I do?

I'd consider what upton was suggesting and start building the engine. That's really the only way your going to see major power increases...then you can always add a power adder of some sort (turbo, supercharger, nitrous) and really be haulin ***. But I'd also work in other aspects of the car as Spec said such as suspension, rearend, brakes.

Just remember, it takes quite a bit to make the v6 fast. To reach a manual GT's performance, you're probably going to dump a considerable amount of money and time into the car. I'm not saying it's a bad idea a lot of people do it, they're great cars and have potential, but it really takes some modifications to get the car moving.

Just consider that if you're getting the itch to move onto a v8 or something in the near future.

Re: What else can I do?

You'll want gears and a tlok either way you decide to go.
Whether you decide to just stop modding at full bolt ons or go for a serious build/power adder, gears and a tlok will be good to have.

Though if an engine build or power adder is in the future, I'd consider an 8.8 inch rear from a 99-04 v8 car. They are much stronger and you can always buy a rebuild kit for it prior to install.

Re: What else can I do?

I agree with sonicpony. build your bottom end. you can find forged bottom end from Thunderbird SuperCoupes.

From there, I'd recommend a supercharger, gears, suspension, tune your transmission (assuming its an automatic, you can tune it with an SCT handheld) aluminum driveshaft, gut your interior (trunk, back seat, bumper supports), tube K-member, port, polish, balance, blue print, stroke it.

Two REALLY good sources to go to bounce thoughts and questions off of would be DynoSpeed Racing out of memphis, tn. and SuperSix Motorsports out of Georgia. They both know their stuff and know it REALLY well.

Re: What else can I do?

go with the gears, tlok and tune. i know your looking for the motor to make more power, but these upgrades will enable the car to make better use of the power that you already have. itll feel like you have more power.
