ive heard good news, but I dont see how a shifter can be better than the steeda, as far as feel goes... the steeda's handle could be altered and I hear the mgw's sits back farther.

actually, the 87-88 TC's got a better shifter than any stock stang got, while not something like a B&M, Steeda, Pro5.0 etc, theyre still better than most stangs, and i like it, only time i miss a gear is when its my own fault

You are right. I had a Pro 5.0, then a Tri-Ax in my car and then I bought an MGW to see what the difference was. Well, I had it installed for two months and there was NO major difference in the feel of the shifting between all three shifters. I actually gave it to my bro and I put my Tri-ax back in. Yeah, the handle on the MGW can rotate 360 degrees, but I only need the handle in one position. The Tri-Ax positioning was fine. Dont get me wrong, the MGW is a solid piece, but so is the Tri-Ax, Pro 5.0, B&M, & Hurst shifter. They are all pretty much the same to me.

I might fall in love with the handle, can you use their handle on your steeda shifter?

Nope, you can only use it on their shifter. I put my entire Tri-Ax with Tri-Ax handle and gaskets back in. The thing I dont like about the MGW is that you cant use the handle gasket. It is a little quieter than the Steeda and Pro 5.0 but it still makes noise. The base gasket helps out, but the gaskets work best when both of them are installed.

whenever I get my mopar muscle car, its definately going to have the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter for sure. Anyway, back on topic, good get, I have read a lot about the MGW, one of the Mustang mags did a thing on it, and everything I heard is good.

mgw is based in augusta

i like mgw's. i plan on getting one for the 64, the adjustable handle will be nice since the fox handle isn't designed for the classic and has some reach to it.
