would this be hard to do?

My exhaust tips aren't very thick and one is dent. If i bought 2 new exhaust tips, mainly to show them off a little more, would it be easy to take off the old ones? they are welded on.

you talking about doing this yourself? Any exhaust shop would have no problem doing that, probably around 60 bucks or so

I just got 4 inchers but I have a 4.0... the shop will know about safe distances between the tips and the body, they might lower the tip a little to make room if needed, should look fine.

Re: would this be hard to do?

Do you have a GT rear or just running under the V6 rear bumper? What looked best on my old V6 was a set of 3.5" rolled tips. Also amplified the sound since they were 24" long.

Also, any exhaust shop should have no problem welding up new tips and adjusting them to your liking. It's looks best if they angle them slightly up if you are running these under the V6 rear.

I just cut a hole on the other side... Looks clean enough, 3.5 inch tips look pretty close to 4 inchers

Re: would this be hard to do?

for a 99-04 mustang you have two choices with a rear bumper that does not have exhaust holes.

You can buy a gt rear bumper then have the tips installed to fit.

You can angle the tips up under the stock bumper, they need to be angled up, having them even with the ground makes them look pointed down with the angle of the rear bumper~ just fyi. Also for this you need 22-24 inch tips so they go up under the bumper, it look bad to see where the tip is welded on.

Finally, stay away from chrome tips. They rust and look like crap. Go with stainless steel.
