OK...so I have been on a roll getting parts put back on my car. Yea! Finally
When I took the transmission lines off [the ones to the radiator] I had to cut one of them because even with the flare nut wrench, I was rounding it off and it wouldn't budge.
So I rented one of those flare devices and I think [maybe] I've gotten it flared sufficiently to not leak.
And then I spent all afternoon trying to get the lines threaded back through that obnoxiously small path they came out of. Jeez! [I had already put back on the radiator and fan and exhaust manifold...not realizing this was going to be such a problem and in a rush to get SOMETHING done in spite of my previous lack of flare tool.]
I've finally gotten the lines in the right area under there, but I can't get TO them to tighten the stupid things. I had such a fight getting the exhaust manifold aligned properly and torqued down, I'm trying to avoid taking those back off, and I'm not even sure that would help if I did.
Anyone have any ideas?
