UDP's

First off, a worthy investment? if I want to go turbo'd later? Also, how much should I expect to spend, and how long of an install? I will need the belt with it. Anyone have some for sale?

Actually his UDP would be more since he has a 2001. It goes for $170 plus another $35 for the belt at my site. So it's about $200 plus a little for the shipping and all. Here's a link if you're interested Jimmy. http://www.rdmotorsport.com/V6%20Section/V6Pulley.html. Also, going turbo, an UDP will not hurt you since you do not use belts to spin the turbo.

wow, $200... I think I'll wait for a group purchase, or someone selling some. This is just for something to do to my car since I'm working now... but don't have A LOT of cash... since I'm paying off my $2500 student loan, and my GT bumper, painting it, and complete exhaust work. I will think about it though Rob.

You have to wiegh the cost for 6-7 rwhp.

I felt it was worth it but that's my opinion.

6rwhp = about 20lbs removed from the car. $200 for pulley vs. pulling the spare tire.

depends if you have $200 for a mod that doesn't do much. 5hp is not gonna get you to beat that ________ car when he was tied with you last time. 5hp really is nothing.

Good finisher mod if you have everything and need 5 extra hp. not worth it in the beginning.

an UDP is one of those mods that you can say that you have but knowing that it probabaly helps gas mileage than hp gains. don't get me wrong i have an udp and i love it, it gets me better gas mileage. one noticable thing is that you get a little better throttle sponse. your engine will not hesitate as much when reving it up.
