If it's a heads up you have no chance....if it's a bracket you will actually do pretty good. The v6 auto is known for running fairly consistant times every time down the track. Only thing I can say is just learn how to watch the tree, get your launches consistant and down. Basically..alot of practice. Your first run will suck...first runs always suck, and it only gets better from there. The more comfortable you get running down the track the better.

none other than keep going back to the track.
I sucked *** for the longest time. But I just kept going with my buddy.
You get better over time. Practice your launching, shifting. Nothing anyone says will help you until you practice. lol The track is harder than it seems. Traction and launching was my biggest problem.

IMO unless I put drag radials on for best times... I never modify my car.. I run it exactly as I would on the street, whether it has stereo equipment in it, a toolbox, clothes/whatever.. never adjust air pressure either unless using DRs...

the first time will always suck. You can get 2.2 60ft, and every .1 off of your 60ft is .2 tenths you can shave off of your time, so take that into account... just take it as a learning experience and expect some 16-18 second time slips

don't do a big burnout with street tires, just spin em quick to get any water and debris off of them. a burnout on street tires will just make your tires more slick

haha don't be disappointed your first run..

My first in the 89 as it is now (IE the engine set up exactly as it is currently, running 13s) I only pulled off a 16.2 @ 88 MPH - GOIN BACK IN TIME BUDDY!

but yeah... I had a 2.9 60' spun into second and missed third

People actually laughed at me as I went back down to the pits lol..

it was fun though my next run was a 15.4 with a 2.6 60' at 95 MPH (huge change) and then broke 14s with a 14.6 @ 96 MPH.. downhill slide from there lol
