hi guys i have a 99 with a 3.8 and there seems to be a squeaking sound coming from a little round thing located behind the water pump could somebody please tell me what this thing is called and what does it do?........thanks
Behind the water pump? Do you mean the idler pulley? They sometimes squeak or make a whirling sound. They are cheap and easy to change. If it's not a pulley I'm not sure what the little round thing is lol...
its the camshaft position sensor making a terrible squeaking noise it started doing this friday and since its started making this noise it has started to miss also but what im wondering now how hard is it to change this thing
^^ the oil pressure sender in 96+ is 100% worthless it just goes to the middle of the gauge and sits there regardless... basically it comes on at 6psi ... which is stupid since if you only have 6psi its already a dead engine.
the cam position sensor, never replaced it but it cant be to hard
