Unhappy transmisson possible problem

I was passing this guy, and went to drop it from first to second and then heard this loud bang kind-a-like sound, for a while the car wouldnt let my downshift from third to second, but it lets me now, should this be of concern to me?

Re: transmisson possible problem

it could be many things, from worn syncros, to chipped teeth on the gears. only advice is to bring it to a transmission shop and have them look at it. they may take some of the tranny fluid out to see if there are any metal shavings in the fluid, and if there are you have some serious problems.

Do you notice problems shifting at any other times?
