Question one more quick battery question

Ok when your cars are running fine where is the needle on your dash for the battery pointed? It's suppose to be directly in the middle of the battery gauge right?
My needle is exactly two dots over from the dead center.

So if it's over charging does that mean the water in the battery is low? my battery is sealed so i can't add water to it.

I wouldnt trust that needle... take this for example. Starting in 96/97 ford replaced the oil pressure gauge with a switch that was on/off and triggered on/off at 6psi. Thus if you have 6psi of pressure you have oil pressure exactly in the middle... aint that some crap.

They may have worked but there is no guarantee the information displayed is of any value.

To many of the great unwashed would complain to the dealer about guage movements so to limit unwarranted warranty time Ford made an idiot guage. Looks like a guage, works like an idiot light.

So you can thank the vast expanse of morons out there for this.

3 guages work on that car. Speedo, tach, and gas. The rest are pretty much on/off switches.
